Bet365poker.com review

Bet365poker.com is another Microgaming (formerly Prima Poker) skin offering all the usual Microgaming freerolls and access to one of the biggest poker rooms on the net.

There is no problem with registering with as many of the Microgaming sites as you want. You must use the same user name when you sit at any of their tables. That way it is fair for everyone. The software will recognize this automatically when you register and ask you to confirm your identity. You will not be allowed to open two or more skins at the same time however. This is to prevent you from sitting down at two places on the same table.

$100 Cashback each month

This is a great bonus for ring game players. Bet365Poker will add $5 to your account for every 100 raked hands you play (upto $100/month). Just email them and they will credit your a/c.

Microgaming SnG Freerolls

Bet365Poker offer you access to 15 tables of sit and go no limit freerolls.

$5,000 Weekly Freeroll Freezeout

Bet365poker is worth downloading because it runs, a $5,000 open freezeout every Saturday evening at 8pm ( UK time). It is unusual for sites to offer competitions with this size prize pool constantly through the year. You normally need to invest some time searching them out. But Bet365 don't mess about. They just have put all their freeroll budget into one event, held at the same time each week so you know where to find it.

What does change from week to week is the registration period during which you can sign up for the event. Sometimes it starts midweek, sometimes Friday night or on Saturday morning. It always fills up (not surprisingly) so don't think you will be able to turn up at 7.55 and get a seat. Fortunately, you can go to the tournament lobby and check when the registration will open so getting a seat should be no problem if you are organised.

The number of noshows is directly related to the length of the registration time. If it opens on Saturday lunchtime you will probably only get 2 or 3 per table. If it opens on Wednesday you may be playing heads-up for the first 30 minutes.

It pays 300 places (out of 6,000). so less than the norm of 10% but with steady play and reasonable cards you have an excellent chance of cashing.

I Play Badly on the Final Table

My best finish in this tourny is 9th. My website is a bad-beat free zone so unfortunately I can't tell you in detail how I got knocked out. The thing to do is try and learn something every time you play and what I learned here was when you arrive at a final table in third place and three people out of the remaining ten are seriously short-stacked ( that is they will be allin with the blinds) you need to avoid fighting the chip leader.

You should be playing your situation not your cards. Sometimes your cards just aren't that important. What matters is your relative chip stack sizes, your playing style and above all POSITION. If a chip leader has position on you (that is he acts after you) he is always going to be capable of putting you in an difficult situation. If he is playing every pot then you just won't know where you stand most of the time. The key factor here is that he can afford to be wrong and you can't. I find it difficult to put down big pairs preflop but if you want to win tournaments you sometimes have to be able to say to yourself " I know I am winning but I am still going to fold" and actually press the FOLD button. Its one of the differences between cash games and tournaments.

Ninth place gave me $37.50. But by folding I was almost guaranteed sixth place ($137.50). If you are short of chips then of course you have to push with these hands. But the dynamics of the game change when you arrive at the final table. The game changes from being shorthanded back to a full table and average sized stacks and above benefit by having more time to wait for a good situation. Every time a shortstack leaves you get more money. Often players don't wait enough. Maybe it is their first time in the final, often everyone is tired.

Do you really want to be pushing when you are only 55% favourite and the chip leader's past play has told you that you don't have any fold equity?

If you are still wondering what my cards were, then I haven't explained myself properly. My cards didn't matter.

Bet365 Casino Bonus

Bet365 casino has an initial deposit bonus that is one of the easiest ones to clear. The software is fast and you can crash through the WR quickly. I did it using minimium bets in dollars (you can choose sterling or euros if you prefer). I got a $200 bonus and ended up +$183. No problems at all. No reloads.
